A+ Computer Hardware and Operating Systems

   

   A+ Computer Hardware

This course will provide the knowledge and skills to identify, configure and upgrade microcomputer modeling and peripherals, safety and preventive maintenance procedures.  Also, included will be specific terminology, categories and principles of motherboard, procedures and memory in microcomputer systems.  Diagnosing and troubleshooting common system malfunctions and networking concepts will be included.

Prerequisite:  Successful completion of Fundamentals of Computer Systems and Technical Computer Applications in the Computer Information Technology , CIT Program.
One semester course, 1 unit of credit.

A+ Computer Operating Systems

This course will provide the knowledge and skills to identify, install, configure and upgrade computer operating systems, safety and preventive maintenance procedures.  Also, included will be specific terminology, categories, and principles of computer operating systems and diagnosing and troubleshooting common operating system malfunctions.

Prerequisite:  Successful completion of Fundamentals of Computer Systems and Technical Computer Applications in the Computer Information Technology , CIT Program.
One semester course, 1 unit of credit.
