Internet, Network and Classroom Policies

CIT students are to follow the links on the left of this page and review the policies.

These three policies will be enforced the entire school year.

If students are found accessing game sites and misappropriate sites; the Internet can and will be blocked except for those websites needed for the CIT Program courses.

This will be done accordance with the West Virginia State Department of Education
Policy 2460 - Safety and Acceptable Use of the Internet by Students and Educators.

Non-Acceptable classroom participation:

  • Talking during class while the instructor is lecturing on class material or in discussion with another individual or student.

  • Talking to other students instead listening or working on assignments.

  • Talking on a cell-phone while in class.*

  • Leaving the classroom without permission.

  • Loud outbursts and the use of profane language or derogatory statements.

  • Listening to music during class.*

  • Sleeping during class.

  • Cheating or copying from other students work.

  • Working on non-related course assignments without permission.

  • Rolling in classroom chairs beyond the students work station.

  • Refusing to answer, read, or take quizzes and tests when called upon or requested by the instructor.

  • Visiting other students during class. (remain in your assigned seat)

  • Attempting to circumvent network and Internet blocking software.
    * These offenses are in direct violation of Policy 2460 and will be turned over to the School Director after the first offense.
